
Matthew Chambers started his ceramics journey in 1993 as an assistant potter to Philip Wood in Somerset, UK. He later earned a 1st class degree in ceramics from Bath School of Art and an MA from the College of Art, beginning in 1999 until final graduation in 2004. Since then Matthew has been based on the Isle of Wight, currently at Binnel Studios on the southern tip of the island in St Lawrence. He has showcased his sculptures in numerous exhibitions globally, including the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal Academy of Arts in London, Homo Faber in Venice, the Museum Westerwald in Germany, and the World Ceramic Centre Korea.
His work is featured in various public and private around the world, including prestigious institutions including the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, the National Museum of Scotland, the Musée Ariana in Geneva, the Sèvres Museum in Paris, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Ulster Museum, Belfast
